Lab & Research Focus
My lab work centers on electro-optical and signal-based systems that convert physical measurements into usable data. This includes imaging, spectrometry, and sensor-driven platforms designed to extract reliable signals from complex biological and environmental systems.
This work has evolved from optical instrumentation into integrated systems combining signal processing, data modelling, and AI. The focus is consistent: move from raw signal → interpretation → actionable output.
Current work spans medical imaging, environmental sensing, and intelligent data systems. This includes spectrophotometry, sensor fusion, and signal/noise characterization, as well as emerging platforms in MRI, CT, and molecular diagnostics.
Active projects reflect this across domains: water quality sensing (Watcher), digital spectrometry and signal extraction (DSPS), clinical decision systems (Hii, Synrgi), low-cost MRI platforms (AMP MRI), at-home molecular diagnostics, neurodiagnostics (Codiem), and AI-driven audio and energy systems.
My role is typically early-stage, defining system architecture, building initial prototypes, designing core algorithms, and structuring projects for development, scale, and IP.
