The physics lab has primarily been about electro optics; using imaging tools to measure. I have evolved from basic optics in the ’80s to data analytics and AI in the 20’s.
I have a wide variety of projects on the go at any time, with a special emphasis on medical, biotech and environmental sensors. My interests include spectrophotometry, data analytics, signal / noise characterization, optical sensors, sensor fusion and intelligent use of systems to interact with our world. Projects include skin analysis using image rectification, 3D scanning of human tissue, motion analysis for cranial biomechanics, optical phoresis, and health data AI.
Experimental tools in testing and long term project include frequency modulated UV/Vis/IR tissue analytics and new projects in MRI / CT. My primary role in these things is the early stage first prototypes, algorithm design, project planning and IP.
The Lab includes electro-optics measurement tools, grating & filter spectrophotometers, signal generation and analysis, 3D milling /CAM, and a variety of lasers and sensors.
